The time finally came for my longtime friend Jen to see her painting...I had always wanted to do a piece inspired by the common bond we share for dressing up in funkadelic duds and dancing it up to the music that fuels these fresh threads. An amazing friend of ours, Alexis Mazurin (1978-2005) was instrumental in influencing the larger-than-life, electric energy that this painting is all about.
